I won't lie, the first 1-2 years was tough. Maybe it was bc i had so many health issues or maybe it was bc i had 2 kids under 2. The girls are 19.5 months apart. I wouldn't have had it any other way. As i am writting this, the girls are playing together- actually they have been for the last 20+ minutes- imagining and playing house. They are so cute together. They help each other and they are developmentally close which makes it like raising twins, which isn't so bad. If/When i have another child, i will def be considering a 4th close in age again. The relationship the girls have is priceless and every sibbling should have this oppertunity to bond. Maybe it's bc they are both girls.. not sure but they are great friends. don't get me wrong, they do have thier fights and get on each other's nerves but i think that would be unusal if they didn't.
There are 4.5 years between #2 and #3. It's nice. Then we fostered a baby boy who was born 15 weeks early. He's currently 6.5 months old and at the stage of a 2-3 month old. Makes it a little easier for Lauren who is about 17.5 month older.
My girls love babies which makes things so much easier. They are so loving!!
